MGI Engineering has further strengthened its leadership team by appointing Cris Hiche into the newly created role of Commercial Director, which will help support the company’s commercial vision for the future.
Cris Hiche joined the company in 2019 and has since been responsible for managing high value engineering projects in the aerospace and motorsport industries. He oversaw a team of stress engineers in the design and manufacture of main structural components for a variety of vehicles. Prior to joining MGI Engineering, Cris designed MRIs for the global market leader in the sector. During this time at Siemens Healthineers, he was chosen for and completed the Leadership Programme as part of a new company programme. Before his time at Siemens Healthineers, he worked as a stress engineer in Formula One. During his F1 career, Cris completed the Accelerated Development Programme at University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
With his strong technical background, leadership abilities, and commercial vision, Cris contributes a wealth of expertise to the MGI team. He will oversee MGI’s commercial strategy, which will put an emphasis on both growing and established markets.

The appointment as Commercial Director, reporting to Chief Executive Officer Mike Gascoyne, will allow MGI to unleash its engineering prowess and F1 experience to provide innovative and sustainable engineering solutions in various industries, including motorsports, automotive, aerospace, and the emerging eVTOL industry.
